The company recently took on a job in Great Ancoats Manchester
for a commercial firm called Casey. Ancoats has great tradition and is surrounded by a history of old mills, canals and apartments.
In keeping with tradition Caseys and Street Masons task was to transform the surrounding roads from frail tarmac to traditional
reclaimed granite setts, granite kerbs and new yorkstone paving. Due to Ancoats been very old, a plan was devised to peel
off the existing tarmac roads and re use the materials underneath i.e. RECLAIMED SETTS. Lucky for us the granite setts were
still in good condition so a complete relay of the old reclaimed setts was undertaken. Other
Commercial Work including heritage work Street Masons would be willing to undertake any job involving the using of RECLAIMED
SETTS such as Major road and carriageway work, patios, stables, driveways, courtyards and pathways. Many of the contracts which our team have worked
on involved working with natural stone such as granite setts, granite kerbs and natural stone paving such as yorkstone and
sandstone. We have been highly recommended for heritage jobs as they use these materials and we are the experts! These materials
are hard wearing and long lasting. Materials that come to mind include reclaimed setts, flame setts, cropped setts, traditional yorkstone paving and a mixture
of flat top setts in random colours and sizes. Previous jobs we have undertaken involving these materials are "Rope Walks Liverpool" and "Ancoats
